Senators

The Upper House of the Federal Parliament consists of 54 members. Each member of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia has a special responsibility to represent the interests of the member states of the Federal Government that he represents and to protect the federal system, and work in a sense of federal cooperation.
Senators hold general meetings to inform the community about the upcoming issues of the Assembly so that the community can be informed and consulted.
Senators talk to the community about development, national unity, peace and reconciliation.
Senators listen to the needs of member states of the Federal Government of Somalia (DFS).

 
 
The Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia represents the Federal Member States, with legislative powers, oversight of the federal system, and monitoring of government activities, as stated in the Provisional Constitution.
