The Upper House Finance Committee has concluded its reading and review of the legislative bills that are with the Committee.

The Committee for Ecconomy, Finance , Commerce, Trade, Industry, Telecommunication, and Tourism of the Upper House of Somali Federal Parliament, held its 2nd meeting of the 6th Session of the Somali Parliament today.

The members of the Finance Committee, fulfilling their duties, have begun working on and discussing legislative bills the committee are handling, which are as follows.

1- Financial Institutions Bill.

2- Income Tax Bill

3- Insurance Companies Bill.

4- Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Bill.

The committee will conduct a general overview, reading, and revision of all the laws mentioned above with the assistance of the Upper House legal experts.

Also present at the committee meeting was the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdiqafaar Elmi Xaange, who provided details and explanations on the provisions related to the bill the committee is working on.

The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the upper house Finance Committee, Senator Abdi Ahmed Dhuxulow , and was attended by some of the committee members.
