The duties of the Committee include:

1.Processing and advising on the Laws related to their work. ‎

2. Organized and monitor Affairs in accordance with the Constitution

3. Organization and follow-up Federal member states affairs in accordance with the constitution

4. Provide guidance on good relation between traditional elders and the federal member states and their districts.

5. To monitor and maintains the smooth functioning of the Fact-Finding and Reconciliation Committee as mentioned in the Constitution.

6. To monitors and maintains the smooth functioning of the National Board of Borders Committee of the federal government.‎

7. Monitors and maintains the smooth functioning of the National Electoral Commission.

8. Will conduct studies and gives advice on the land and property of the nation and the private one that is illegally seized. ‎

9.To submit a written report every two months to the Upper House .

10.Every communication that the Committee makes with any direction of work must be in writing.
